Golf Tour

Students compete across ten events including the season ending Tour Finals to be crowned the top male and female university golfers.

Macpherson Order of Merit

The BUCS Individual Champions are the players with the highest grossing points within the Order of Merit on conclusion of the Golf Tour Finals.

It is calculated by using the points earned from a player’s best four results from the nine qualifying events and their result from the Golf Tour Finals.

About the Macpherson Order of Merit

The order of merit is named after Rob Macpherson, former Golf Manager at British Universities & Colleges Sport (BUCS). It recognises his outstanding contributions for university and student sport, golf in particular, on local, national and international level, helping to promote and improve the sport he loved.

2021/22 BUCS Golf Tour

The BUCS Golf Tour is played at some of the UK’s most prestigious courses. For the 2021-22 season we are planning to run all of our Tour Events as we have in the past over three days and either 54 or 72 holes. The season will start once again at the Stirling International which is a co-sanctioned event with The R&A Student Tour Serieson 8 - 10th September. The full schedule for next season tour events will be released shortly and entries will open by the end of July on BUCS Play.

All events will be run in line with guidance from The R&A, England Golf and Scottish Golf.
