Timetable

​​​​​​Sunday 24 March: Old Course - 12pm to 1:30pm (Women Round 1) and New Course - 8am to 4pm (Men Round 1)

Monday 25 March: New Course - 8am to 4pm (All players Round 2)

Tuesday 26 March: New Course - 8am to 9:30am (Women Round 3) and Old Course - 8am to 4pm (Men Rounds 3 & 4, Women Round 4)

  • Tee times will be emailed out closer to the event through Golfbox and will be available on the 'Tee times/results' tab
  • There will be a cut after the first 2 rounds to incorporate the top 36 players plus ties
  • On Tuesday all players that make the cut will play a further 36 holes (R3 & R4)
  • There will be no cut for female players
  • If you have entered the SSS Match Play Event – scores will be used from the SSS Stroke Play Championships to determine seeding for the Match Play

Registration

Competitors must register at least 30 minutes before starting Round 1. Competitors are encouraged to register as soon as they arrive at the venue. Registration will be located in the clubhouse.

Competitors must show their student ID on arrival. Competitors who do not register may have their tee time withdrawn. Players need to come to registration area each day to collect their scorecard.

Competitors are encouraged to use and update golfbox for their scoring so the tournament can provide up to date live scoring.

As per the rules of golf, competitors who do not show for their tee time will be disqualified.

Practice Rounds

Practice rounds are available at a discounted rate to the individual on Saturday 25th March – please book directly with the club

Course Guides

Course Guides for both the old and new course will be available to collect from SSS staff on Saturday – free of charge

Order of Merit

This event forms part of the BUCS Golf Tour and Macpherson Order of Merit 2023-24.

BUCS Macpherson Order of Merit points for qualification to the BUCS Golf Tour Finals will be awarded to the top 20 men and top 20 women as detailed within the BUCS Golf rules and regulations.

Withdrawals

Competitors withdrawing during the competition must inform Luke Gallen & Chris Purdie, stating their reason for withdrawal. Any withdrawals after the IA approval deadline (Thursday 14 March 2024) will still be charged the entry fee.

Competitors must also inform their institution they have withdrawn from the competition. Any competitor who does not show up to register for their opening round will be considered a no show and their institution will be fined £50 in addition to the entry fee for the event.
