Event Guide

**Please be aware there is a wedding in the clubhouse on Friday 1 March so there will be no access to the clubhouse after 12:30pm and no food available after this time. Registration/results will be in the clubhouse on Wednesday & Thursday, then in the Function room opposite the main office on Friday.

Timetable

​​​​​​Round 1 (Wednesday): Starting at 08:00, 9-minute intervals, groups of 3, random order.

Round 2 (Thursday): Starting at 08:00, 9-minute intervals, groups of 3, reverse score order.

Round 3 (Friday): Starting at 08:00, 9-minute intervals, groups of 3, reverse score order.

  • Tee times will be emailed out through Golfbox and will be available on the 'Tee times/results' tab.
  • Men will be off the white tees and women off the red tees
  • There will be a cut on the last day for the male players which will be for the top 33 players – no ties
  • There will be no cut for female players

Registration

Competitors must register at least 30 minutes before starting Round 1. Competitors are encouraged to register as soon as they arrive at the venue. Registration will be located in the clubhouse.

Competitors must show their student ID on arrival. Competitors who do not register may have their tee time withdrawn. Players need to come to registration area each day to collect their scorecard.

Competitors are encouraged to use and update golfbox for their scoring so the tournament can provide up to date live scoring.

As per the rules of golf, competitors who do not show for their tee time will be disqualified.

Practice Rounds

Practice rounds are available to book directly through the club shop. These are available at £27pp on Tuesday 27 February between 11am-1pm on a first come first serve basis.

These must be booked for and paid in advance with the club shop.

Driving Range

One driving range token will be provided to each competitor on each day of the competition free of charge.

Order of Merit

This event forms part of the BUCS Golf Tour and Macpherson Order of Merit 2023-24.

BUCS Macpherson Order of Merit points for qualification to the BUCS Golf Tour Finals will be awarded to the top 20 men and top 20 women as detailed within the BUCS Golf rules and regulations.

Withdrawals

Competitors withdrawing during the competition must inform Luke Gallen, stating their reason for withdrawal. Any withdrawals after the IA approval deadline (Thursday 15 February 2024) will still be charged the entry fee.

Competitors must also inform their institution they have withdrawn from the competition. Any competitor who does not show up to register for their opening round will be considered a no show and their institution will be fined £50 in addition to the entry fee for the event.

Club House Etiquette

Players are advised not to wear golf shoes or hats in the clubhouse.
