Overview

Golf is a mixed programme with both individual stroke play events (forming the BUCS Golf Tour) and team match play leagues throughout the season.

Individual Competition - BUCS Golf Tour

The BUCS Golf Tour is played at some of the UK’s most prestigious courses. This year the Golf Tour will follow a slightly different format.

Term One
All the original golf events in term one have been cancelled. They have been replaced with a new regional one-day event format. These are open to golfers of all handicaps and depending upon entries different levels may be established.  Entries for term one events will open on BUCS Play on 1 September 2020.

Term Two *Updated*
The golf events in term two are currently being reviewed. We are hoping to be able to still run some one competitions. Once we are able to confirm if these events will take place they will be added to the calendar.
Unfortunately, we have made the decision that we will be unable to run Tour Finals this year
To view the full calendar of events please visit BUCS Golf Tour
All events will be run in line with guidance from The R&A, England Golf and Scottish Golf.

Leagues and Knockouts for 2020-21

The Golf league programme will run in Term Two only and there will not be any promotion or relegation between leagues at the end of the season. These decisions were communicated with our members in June.

The format for the programme has been confirmed to members and the 2020-21 leagues and fixtures will be released on Friday 15 January. Fixtures will be scheduled from 17 February, but these will be flexible to individual institutional requirements.

All fixtures will be subject to any institutional, NGB, UK government, devolved administration or local authority rules, regulations and guidance in relation to COVID-19 in place at the time.

The BUCS golf programme is supported by the R&A. Their support helps to enhance the standard of competition and continue to develop golf at university level.
