In 2022, the RFL committed to providing resource to support the development and growth of rugby league within the higher education sector. The role of Rugby League Coordinator was therefore embedded into BUCS with three key aims:

To provide direct support to the teams currently competing

To raise the profile of the sport across the sector
Following a successful 4 years the RFL funded BUCS Rugby League Coordinator role has come to an end. BUCS and the RFL are still committed to striving towards further growth within Rugby League across the higher education sector.
