Events & BUCS Points Available

Men’s Individual

Women’s Individual

Men’s Overall Team

Women’s Overall Team

Individuals will automatically be entered into the team competitions, provided there are enough eligible individuals from that institution to comprise a team.

As stated in REG CYC 3.5 The Men’s Overall Team and Women’s Overall Team Championships will be calculated using the extracted results from the Individual Championships. Men’s team placings shall be determined by the fastest cumulative time for three riders from the same institution from the Championship race run. Women’s team placings shall be determined by the fastest cumulative time for two riders from the same institution from the Championship race run.

Please refer to Appendix 1 for a breakdown of BUCS Points available.

Please note that BUCS Points will not be allocated where the minimum number of competitors has not been reached, and where there are not enough individual scores to extract a team score. Furthermore, an individual/team must have beaten another individual/team to score BUCS points. (i.e. if 3 individuals finish an event, only 2 will score BUCS points).

Entry Allowance

Institutions can request an unlimited number of entries, however should the event reach capacity (300 riders) BUCS may need to restrict the number of entries per institution. Therefore, when Institution Administrators accept entries on BUCS Play, for both the Men’s race and Women’s race, riders should be ranked in the order of preference (Eg, Rank 1 is the most preferred rider).

Entry Process

Each student and marshal should apply for the event on BUCS Play before the student deadline.

To apply for this competition:

  1. Competitor to complete competition application on BUCS Play
  2. Institution Administrator approves entry
  3. BUCS approves/denies entry into competition and publishes confirmed entry list

Any data will be handled in accordance with BUCS Privacy Policy
