Overview

From downhill to track cycling, students are spinning to win in the BUCS cycling programme.

With the likes of Olympians Sir Chris Hoy and Victoria Pendleton (CBE) in our records, the BUCS Cycling programme is one to get involved in.

We offer many different cycling events allowing us to create a competitive and enjoyable environment for all abilities, including para-cyclists.

Para-Cycling disciplines are offered on the track, hill climb, 10m TT & 25m TT.

Below is a list of the cycling events which are confirmed for the 2021-22 season, those without dates will be updated in due course. Only Hill Climb will be run in term 1.

Downhill Mountain Biking Cancellation for 2021-22:

It is with regret that unfortunately the BUCS Downhill Mountain Bike Championships scheduled for 25 May at Bike Park Wales has been cancelled.

This is primarily due to the significant drop in entries we have received (compared to previous years) meaning the event is no longer viable.

The decision to cancel has not been taken lightly and we will be looking at the event for next season to ensure an appropriate date and venue are allocated to allow for maximum possible participation within the cycling programme.

Any specific queries regarding Downhill Mountain Biking, please contact Olivia Hellas
