BUCS Ski Mountaineering - FISU Winter Universiade 2027

Ski Mountaineering nominations are now open for the upcoming FISU Winter Universiade taking place in Changchun, China from 15-25 January 2027.

British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS) as the National University Sport Federation (NUSF) within international university sport, sanctions the participation of GB Students on behalf of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

All athletes who wish to be considered for selection must submit the online self-nomination registration by 11:59pm on Friday 11 September.

Please ensure you have the following documents to hand when completing the self nomination form:

Student ID Card, Enrolment certificate or Graduation Certificate
FISU Certificate of Academic Eligibility - signed and complete by your university

As part of the self-nomination form, you are required to upload a copy of your student ID card (ensuring dates are shown), or enrolment certificate. If you are a recent graduate and meet the eligibility criteria stated in the selection policy to compete, you are required to please submit a copy of your Graduation Certificate. Any athlete who fails to complete the online registration and submit the supporting documentation (Student ID card / Enrolment certificate / Graduation Certificate) by the deadline may not be considered for selection.

Athletes must also match the eligibility criteria stated in the selection policy to be able to compete. Please confirm your eligibility prior to completing the self-nomination form.

Download your FISU Certificate of Academic Eligibility - ensure all boxes are complete, noting this requires getting the form signed and stamped by the university sport department. We advise you to completed the eligibility form first before starting this online form - as it may take a few days for your university contact to complete the eligibility form.
