Following the confirmation of the change to the existing format of the BUCS Swimming Team Championships earlier this season, we are delighted to announce that the revised BUCS competition will be opening entries on Tuesday 4 August 2026.
For those that are not aware of the changes, BUCS is adopting the successful format of the British University Swimming League (BUSL) competition. This means BUSL is being brought under the BUCS banner, becoming a co-delivery partner, predominantly being responsible for Phase 1 and 2 and BUCS being responsible for National Finals.
All event information will be hosted centrally on the BUCS website, along with entries being taken on BUCS Play. BUSL will then manage the conferences throughout the first two stages, sorting results, records and providing support to all teams.
Next Steps
- Entries will open on BUCS Play on Tuesday 4 August 2026.
- All entry information for Stage 1 and 2 will be released before entries open, including all dates and deadlines. This will be found here.
- Please ensure all captains and coaches have read the rules and regulations to ensure you are aware of the changes to the operation of the event, both from previous BUCS events and BUSL.
