BUCS is thrilled to announce a pilot with the Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board to inform students on the benefits of milk to fuel their sport and fitness.

Our new collaboration with the Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board (AHDB) sets the stage for a groundbreaking pilot initiative until the end of March. This venture marks the beginning of our exploration into a partnership, showcasing the nutritional prowess of milk for our sports students. Aptly titled ‘Milk Every Moment’, our joint campaign is dedicated to enlightening students on the pivotal role milk plays in their diet.

AHDB, a statutory levy board, funded by farmers, growers, and key players in the supply chain, is a force driving success in a swiftly evolving industry. Their visionary mission is to cultivate a world-class food and farming sector, drawing inspiration from and vying with the best in the field.

The pilot will see a curated blend of informative content, student-friendly recipes, and enticing competitions/giveaways, all housed within the brand-new ‘Milk Every Moment’ website. This digital hub will be complemented by interactive content on BUCS social media channels and BUCS Play. We plan to champion milk at these events through a series of products that we all know and love.

Joanna Coates, BUCS Interim CEO, commented on the pilot: “We are delighted to be trialling a partnership with the Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board. Their goal of bringing people together to collaborate, innovate, and drive change will help us educate students on the benefits that dairy can have in fuelling their sport and fitness, providing relevant and science-backed information collated by nutritionists. We look forward to the next three months and the impact this partnership will make in the long term.”

Liam Byrne, Marketing Director at AHDB said “BUCS are at the forefront of university sport, and we are thrilled to be working with them on our new ‘Milk Every Moment’ initiative. This new partnership brings together the health and nutritional benefits of milk, linked to the positive association between milk consumption and sporting performance.”
