Entry Allowance

Institutions can enter an unlimited number of students.

All students entered must be a current member of British Powerlifting and have met the relevant qualifying total for their weight class in order to be accepted.

Students do not have to attend competition days they are not competing on. The event guide will detail when competitors will be lifting however compeitotrs will be asked to help with spotting/loading on the platform/computer & scoring table throughout the event.

BUCS POINTS:

Women's and Men's team results will be extracted from individual scores. A minimum of two competitors are required to compete in the event to constitute a team entry i.e. two women for Women's Team, two men for Men's Team.

The winner for each team competition will be the institution with the highest accumulative total of individual points.

Entry Process

Competitors MUST enter on the British Powerlifting website before entering on BUCS Play. British Powerlifting Membership and Qualifying Total will be checked when entering via British Powerlifting. Once entry has been approved by British Powerlifting, competitors will be emailed a validation code which must be entered on BUCS Play. Competitors MUST enter on both British Powerlifting and BUCS Play. Any competitors who fail to enter either on British Powerlifting or BUCS Play will not being able to compete.

Entries that are ONLY made on British Powerlifting WILL NOT be accepted. As a BUCS sanctioned event, all competitors MUST be approved by their Institution Administrator on BUCS Play.

To apply for the competition all eligible competitors must follow these steps:

  1. Competitor MUST enter on the British Powerlifting website before entering on BUCS Play
  2. Competitor to apply to the event on BUCS Play (Instructions on how to do this can be found here) and enter their validation number from their British Powerlifting entry
  3. Institution administrator approves entry (Instructions on how to do this can be found here)
  4. BUCS approves/denies entry into competition and publishes confirmed entry list

NGB Affiliation

All competitors must hold a valid British Powerlifting membership that is in date to compete. Any competitor who does not have membership will need to purchase one here.

Your membership number will be required and checked upon entry on the British Powerlifting website.

Anti-Doping Testing

A selection of athletes chosen by the International Powerlifting Federation will be required to complete anti-doping testing at the event.
