Registration
Registration will open at 10:00 in The Ellesmere Centre (CB8 9TS) and will be open throughout the day. You must also sign-out at the HQ after the event.
Students must bring their student card to register for the event.
Please sign on early and leave plenty of time to reach the start line, which is approx. 3 miles / 5 km from HQ (so please allow 15 to 20 minutes). The suggested route to the start will be signposted.
As you ride to that start, please be mindful of riders currently on the course.
Course Details
This event will be run on the CTT E33/25 course.
START(GR 612612) half way along lay-by (marked Police only) on the A1303, situated 650 yards south-west of the Stetchworth roundabout. Proceed on the A1303 towards Cambridge, continuing to Dunsley Corner (5.18m) (M&C) where left to follow lane to Six Mile Bottom (8.83m) (M&C) where left onto the A1304 towards Newmarket to Stetchworth roundabout (12.39m) (M&C) where left onto the A1303, to finish first circuit at the start point (12.76m). Proceed onto second circuit via A1303 to Dunsley Corner (17.94m), lane to Six Mile Bottom (21.59m) A1304 towards Newmarket to FINISH (GR 615611) Just before ‘White Direction Board’ which is 300 yards south of Stetchworth roundabout. (25.00m).
NOTE: No vehicles to be parked in layby at start, Timekeepers cars etc. to be behind layby on grass verge.
Two laps of a circuit on a mixture of single-carriageway A roads and unclassified roads.
Once registered at the HQ, the ride to the start line is approx. 3 miles / 5 km along the suggested route, please allow adequate time to reach the start line (please leave 15 to 20 minutes). This route will be signposted. Please return to the HQ via the same route. You must sign back out at the HQ.
Riders will be set off every 60 seconds from 12:01.
There will be a marshal stationed at each corner of the course. They are there for your safety and to ensure you stay on the correct route. Please take care around the corners and listen to the marshals. It is illegal for the marshal to direct, or attempt to control, other traffic in any way or to interfere with its movement on the highway.
Please arrive at the start line in good time for your start time and queue on the grass verge leading up to the start maintaining appropriate distance. If there are already several competitors waiting to start, you may wait in the slip road signposted ‘Equine Hospital’ just prior to the start. There will be a pusher-off. Please don’t leave any clothing, bottles, etc. at the start as you will not be able to collect them until after the event has finished.
On finishing the race, riders should not stop at the finish but proceed to turn right at the roundabout and take the exit back towards the HQ. Riders should return to the HQ to sign outTimetable

All bikes must adhere to these regulations including a working front AND rear light. All riders must also wear a helmet and NOT wear headphones for the duration of the event. Riders may be asked to remove their helmet at the start line and demonstrate that there is no electronic device impairing their hearing. Riders presenting to the start line with no working lights or helmet will be disqualified.
LOCAL REGULATIONS
- No riding with your head down, any rider observed riding dangerously will be disqualified from the event and reported to the CTT District Committee for further disciplinary action;
- No 'U' turns are allowed within sight of either the start or finish area;
- Numbers will be situated at the HQ; sign in before and sign out after you have finished;
- No cars to stop or park at the start or finish areas;
- No warming-up by competitors is allowed along any part of the designated course other than going to the start, after the event has started;
- Riders MUST GIVE WAY when they do not have right of way. This is necessary at the Six Mile Bottom turn and at the Stetchworth roundabout.
Withdrawals
To withdraw from the event, please contact your Institution Administrator who should inform the event lead.
Any withdrawals will now still be charged the entry fee. Please see REG 7.9 for our withdrawal policy.
Parking
There are 60 parking spaces in the main car park at HQ.
Please DO NOT park on residential village streets, block driveways or on the grass verge outside the HQ.
Please DO NOT litter where you have parked, please take all rubbish to a bin or away with you.
Event HQ
Event Headquarters are at the Ellesmere Centre, Stetchworth, near Newmarket. The HQ will be open at 10:00 (AM). Please park sensibly and avoid blocking pathways by not parking on the verges. Obey the 30mph speed limit in the village. Please consider all other road users in the area to ensure that we can continue using these headquarters in the future.
Changing Facilities
Separate toilets and changing facilities for men and women, and gender neutral facilties will be available at the HQ.

There will be a selection of food items and hot drinks on sale inside the HQ, provided by Cambridge University Cycling Club.

Please note, only TT bike riders are eligible for Championships medals.
Road Bike riders will receive Generic Medals.
In addition to the BUCS competitions, the annual varsity competition between Oxford & Cambridge is also being held as part of this event.
BUCS Points

Only TT Riders are eligible for BUCS Points at this event.
Photography & Videography
There is an event photographer, photos will be shared after the event.
Anyone wishing to take photos or video at this event must complete the BUCS Media Accreditation Form prior to the event.
BUCS reserves the right to prohibit photography equipment being used at a BUCS event. BUCS reserves the right to request that the individual ceases to take photographs, deletes any images and, if considered necessary, leaves the venue.
