Overview

It's time to take table tennis seriously. As this social game transforms into a fast, intense hit out with the BUCS Table Tennis programme.

As one of the most popular sports in the world, students can play table tennis as an individual or as part of a team.

Individual Singles and Doubles Championships - Host Announcement

The University of Nottingham have won the bid to host the BUCS Table Tennis: Individual Singles and Doubles Championships for the next 3 years as part of the bidding process open to all institutions. David Ross Sports Village will play host to the event for the 2022-23, 2023-24 and 2024-25 seasons.

At last year’s event nearly 1,000 matches took place over the two days of competition, culminating in five exciting finals in singles, doubles and mixed doubles categories. The weekend event features the UK’s leading Higher Education table tennis competitors, including international stars and many nationally ranked players among the 500 entries received into all categories.

BUCS and the University of Nottingham will work together to build on the successes of recent events at the David Ross Sports Village. Having hosted the Individual Championships at the university’s flagship venue for the last five years, as well as at the Jubilee Campus over the previous decade, the awarding of the event will use previous learnings to offer a better competition for students.

Results from the 2022-23 Championships can be found here.
