This event is now a Table Tennis England (TTE) regulated event, meaning that ranking points will be available from this tournament, with the national event weighting x1.75. Sanctions awarded at the event will also stand on player records.

If a point of clarification is needed in a specific circumstance, it will be determined whether BUCS or Table Tennis England policy/ regulation applies.

BUCS Points

Please see Appendix 1 for the BUCS Points available at this event.

Please note that due to the Mixed Para Singles Event being a trial event for this year, there will be no BUCS Points allocated to it, but if deemed a success this will attract BUCS points from 2026-27 onwards.

Clothing

Competitor clothing should have at a minimum the competitor’s last name on the back of their shirt. If your competition clothing does not have your name on, you should report this when registering and alternative arrangements will be available. To give competitors advance notice, this facility will NOT be available after this year’s event, and fines will be issued to any competitor who does not have their name on the back of their shirt.

Regulation clothing should be worn during matches, including clean rubber or similar soled footwear (non-marking). Competitors should not wear white clothing. Doubles pairings are required to wear matching coloured clothing during matches.

Changing Facilities/Bag Storage

David Ross Sports Village has ample changing facilities on site during the event.

There are also accessible/inclusive changing facilities located on the ground floor of David Ross Sports Village, turning right after you enter through the turnstiles. All changing rooms are not exclusive use for BUCS competitors, so personal belongings should not be left in the changing rooms.

We strongly advise competitors to utilise the lockers located around the corridors of David Ross Sports Village, rather than leaving belongings in the hall. You will need to bring a padlock should you wish to use the lockers.

BUCS and the University of Nottingham will not be responsible for any personal belongings or valuables left unattended during the event.

  • We have used local suppliers where possible.
  • Event programmes are all online, minimising paper use.
  • We are tracking our carbon footprint across BUCS events to identify areas of improvement.

  • Be self-sufficient by using refillable bottles and coffee cups to reduce waste. Reusable coffee cups will receive a 20p discount at DRSV café!
  • Think about where you are disposing your waste whilst at the event – Please make use of the recycling bins around the venue rather than throwing it all into the refuse bins.
  • Travel smarter – as a team could you walk, cycle or use public transport to get to the event from your accommodation? Check out UoN’s sustainable travel page for more information on eco friendly ways to travel to campus
  • Go paperless - use your phone for all event information and do not print anything off.
