This is the first year that dodgeball will be a part of our competitions. Who will be our inaugural champions?

Many institutions have teams already playing dodgeball, and the popularity of the sport is expected to grow within the Higher Education sector as the dodgeball leagues are brought into the BUCS sporting landscape.

After successfully passing Sport Review Cycle 2, the dodgeball programme is currently in the implementation phase. BUCS are currently working with British Dodgeball to refine the offer for 2021-22, and conversations are ongoing about the following aspects:

  • Dates for the 2021-22 season

  • The Sport Specific Rules and Regulations which will be in place, including whether female players will be allowed to compete for Men’s teams, as is currently permitted under British Dodgeball rules and regulations

  • Selection processes for the Men’s National League

  • Geographical distribution of teams into new BUCS leagues structures

  • The Knockout competitions for each programme

  • And many more
