This year’s boxers will be heading to Wolverhampton University after signing on as hosts for the next two championships.

Hosted on 31 January 2020 till 2 February, BUCS expect around 200 boxers to attend the event at the London 2012 Olympic Training base.

It will enhance the high-quality sporting experience for all competitors, officials and spectators.

Amy Clayfield, BUCS Event Manager, is excited to welcome students back to the venue.

“It's great to be heading back to University of Wolverhampton for the 2020 and 2021. Their high-quality facilities and professional staff will help to make a great experience for everyone."

University of Wolverhampton's Walsall Campus is a multimillion-pound sport centre. The 12-court, multi sports hall will host the Championships across three days.

James Dale, Sport Manager at the University of Wolverhampton, said,

“We took great pride in hosting the event last year. As a collective, we raised the profile of the event, student sport and engagement.

A big part of our role is to deliver the best possible student experiences in sport including those outside of the ring. Having the event for the next two years allows us to work on delivering an even better event in 2020 and beyond".
