We’re delighted to announce that the BUCS Super Rugby Milk Championship Finals will be heading back to Rodney Parade for the next two seasons.

The home of Dragons RFC, Newport RFC and Newport County will once again play host to the culmination of the men’s and women’s BUCS Super Rugby seasons.

Last season, one trophy stayed on Welsh soil as Cardiff Met women made history to win the title for the first time beating Loughborough 30-29 in a humdinger of a final, while Hartpury returned to the summit of men’s university rugby union, clinching their first title in six years with a 34-21 victory over Loughborough.

The 2026 finals will be taking place on Wednesday 22 April with tickets on sale now.

Rhys Blumberg, CEO at Dragons RFC, said: “We are absolutely delighted to become the home to the BUCS Super Rugby Milk Championship Finals over the next two seasons and welcome supporters for the exciting culmination of the men’s and women’s BUCS Super Rugby seasons.

“We now look forward to working closely with the excellent team at BUCS who share our ambition to continue to grow the event as an experience and make it an even bigger success this coming April and in the years to come.”

Will Roberts, BUCS CEO, said: “Following the success of last year’s event, we’re extremely excited to return to Rodney Parade for the BUCS Super Rugby Milk Championship Finals. Thank you to Dragons RFC and the WRU for their continued support, and we look forward to working with them over the next two seasons.

“We would also like to thank AHDB for their ongoing support with the BUCS Super Rugby Milk Championship Finals, strengthening the experience we provide to players, coaches and fans at the event.”

Milk Every Moment is an award-winning campaign in joint partnership between BUCS and the Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board (AHDB), highlighting the nutritional value of milk and how it can support students on their sporting journey.
