A landmark partnership between two organisations united by a shared mission: putting students first.

BUCS (British Universities & Colleges Sport) has announced an exciting new partnership with Housr, the all-in-one student living platform.

University is one of the most exhilarating - and demanding - chapters of a young person's life. Between lectures, social commitments, and the all-important pursuit of sporting excellence, students face a relentless stream of pressures. Finding and managing accommodation, splitting bills, and navigating the rental market can be an overwhelming distraction, pulling focus away from the experiences that truly define student life.

Housr goes well beyond accommodation and bills management. The platform is designed to enhance every aspect of student living, offering a suite of features that make day-to-day life easier and more enjoyable. Students can use Housr's roommate finder (Roomie) to connect with compatible housemates before the academic year begins, access exclusive perks and discounts at local and national brands, and discover and book experiences through Housr's student events ticketing platform. Together, these tools are designed to reduce friction and maximise enjoyment throughout the student journey.

BUCS recognises how profoundly these pressures can impact student athletes. By partnering with Housr, BUCS is giving its community access to a platform purpose-built to take the hassle out of student life - freeing them to focus on what they love most: competing, training, and thriving.

Together, BUCS and Housr represent a genuine power team-up: two organisations that place the student experience above all else, working in concert to remove barriers and unlock potential.

Rhys Hayward, BUCS Director of Marketing and Commercial, said: "At BUCS, we are passionate about creating the conditions for student-athletes to perform at their very best. We know the pressures students face extend far beyond the training ground, and that removing everyday stresses is key to unlocking performance. Housr shares that understanding and that ambition - and with a platform that helps students find great housemates, save money, and make the most of their social lives, this partnership offers real, tangible value to the BUCS community. It's a natural fit, and a genuine win for every student we serve."

Amar Chana, Head of UK Partnerships and University Relations at Housr, added: "Housr was built for students, by people who understand students. Sport is a huge part of why students choose a university and how they shape their identity while they're there. We know that worrying about accommodation and bills can pull focus from everything else - and for a student-athlete, that distraction has a very real cost. But Housr is about more than just a roof over your head. From finding the right housemates, to saving money with our brand partners, to discovering what's on in your city - we want students to feel supported at every turn. This partnership with BUCS is about making sure students can show up fully, both on the pitch and in life. We couldn't be more proud to stand alongside an organisation that shares our values."
