Take part in the most competitive race at BUCS Nationals. The mascot race is back!
As a part of the BUCS Indoor Athletics Championships, this race continues to be one of the highlights of the event.
The mascot race sees institution mascots compete in a highly exciting 200m race. All for a good cause, mascots that race enter through making a donations to the Danny Porter Foundation, a charity that raises fund to help in the fight against cancer.
So, make sure your insitution enters it's mascot or show your support by making a personal donation.
Here's how it works:
- Each institution can only enter one competitor.
- Mascot costumes are compulsory.
- To enter, visit the JustGiving page and make a donation of £30 or more to the Danny Porter Foundation.
If you are a supporter and want to get involved, donate to this great cause and cheer on the mascots.
About the Danny Porter Foundation.
Dan Porter MBE was a champion of university sport and was a big supporter of BUCS Nationals. Sadly, he passed away after a strong battle with numerous cancers.
The Foundation provides donations and grants to other charities to help in research, support, care and equipment to people suffering from cancer and/or requiring neurological surgery. The Foundation will help patients whose friends and family are struggling to provide the support they would like due to their personal circumstances.
