Five sports. Three days. Non-stop sport. BUCS Nationals is an annual multisport event that currently takes place in Sheffield.

In it's 9th year BUCS Nationals return to the city of Sheffield for three days of sporting action over five Championship events. Over 4000 students took part in the event, with 200 officials and volunteers making the sport happen on and off the field of play. Check out the highlights from the event below.

COVID-19

Competitors are strongly advised to wear a mask when not competing. This is to reduce the spread of COVID-19 and protect staff, officials, volunteers and other competitors.

Any athlete seeking medical attention from a BUCS doctor or physio MUST wear a mask at all times.

Spectators

Spectators at this event are discouraged at BUCS Nationals due to the limited capacity of the indoor seating areas and in order to mitigate the risk against COVID-19.

Mascot Race

The Mascot Race will take part on Saturday 19 February 2022 as part of the Indoor Athletics event at BUCS Nationals. 

This year the BUCS Mascot race will be raising money in aid of the Danny Porter foundation for a third year. Dan Porter MBE was an inspirational individual, who championed sport at Sheffield Hallam University, and across the Country and was a strong advocate for BUCS Nationals.

Parking

EIS 

Parking is £5 per car, per day, this must be paid on entrance.

Disabled car parking spaces are available at the front of the venue.

Ponds Forge

Parking is available at the venue or at Q Park next to Travelodge. You will need to pay and park following the instructions on site. For more information please refer to the Sheffield City Trust website.

Climbing Works

There is limited free onsite parking, please refer to the Climbing Works website for more details on parking.
