Description

The University of Nottingham are seeking to appoint a passionate, dynamic, and innovative person into the role of Participation Sport Officer.

The post holder will be responsible for the delivery of social sport programmes aimed at both students and staff.

The post holder will lead on the co-ordination and delivery of various programmes and events, including but not limited to; the Just Play programme, Girls' Night In and staff sport activity.

Alongside project management, they will be responsible for the management of both staff and student volunteers and manage a delegated budget to run all programmes successfully. Building relationships with external partners, and internal stakeholders will be key to the role.

To deliver successfully you will have experience of project and events management, be able to work independently and within a range of teams and have a creative flair with a desire to be innovative and try new things. Knowledge and understanding of the Higher Education sports sector will be crucial for the post-holder.

The role will form part of the Participation team within UoN Sport and be predominantly based at David Ross Sports Village on our University Park Campus. All candidates will need to be flexible in their approach to their working week, noting that evening and weekend work will be required regularly to deliver successfully in the role.
