If you are interested in feeding in and you are:

a student officer - please use this link to join the Student Officer WhatsApp group.
-

Support for trans+ participation
Many trans+ students will be feeling uneasy and unsure of their welcome within HE Sport. Our gender eligibility spreadsheet highlights those sports that allow trans+ participation in their gender - this is visible in the far right column.
BUCS has shared best practice and information relating to trans+ participation at our last two conferences, you can view those slides here:
-
Student minds - Life as a trans+ student (Conference 2025)
-
BUCS & LSESU - Gender eligibility & trans+ participation (Conference 2026)
Where trans+ students have been excluded from participating as their gender, these resources could help to source alternative ways to access sports:
-
UK-wide: Pride Sports LGBT+ Club Finder
-
Manchester: Sport & Fitness Groups
-
Scotland: LEAP Sports Scotland clubs list

Gender-Neutral Facility Mapping
Using facilities at institutions that are not your own can be stressful if you are LGBTQ+.
BUCS would like to collect maps of institution’s with clearly labelled gender-neutral toilets/facilities that any student can access.
