- The 19 Teams are split into 3 Pools of 5 Teams and 1 Pool of 4 Teams
- Teams will play all teams in their Pool during the morning games
- The winners of each pool will advance to the Cup Semi-Finals
- The 2nd placed teams in each pool will advance to the Plate Semi-Finals
- The 3rd placed teams in each pool will advance to the Bowl Semi-Finals
- The 4th placed teams in each pool will advance ot the Shield Semi-Finals
- The 5th placed teams in pools A,B & C will advancer to the Salver Finals
- If a team loses their Semi-Final, they will still play in a play-off game after
All games will be played on grass.

BUCS Points Available
BUCS Points are not directly available at this singular event. Please see Reg 1 for a breakdown of all available BUCS Points for Touch Rugby.
This event is a qualifying round for the National Championships. Performance in the event and the other respective reigional qualifier will determine rankings for the National Championship events.
Withdrawals
All withdrawals should be emailed from your athletic union/institution sports staff to Joe O'Loughlin
Withdrawals on or before the team entry deadline of Thursday 13th November at 23:59pm will not be charged the entry fee.
Withdrawals after the team entry deadline of Thursday 13th November at 23:59pm will still be charged the entry fee.

Appointments will not be completed until late Friday
Coaching & Upgrades
Stephen Dubreuil will be able to provide coaching and assessments for L2 & L1 upgrades respectively. Your name will be marked in the schedule if you are looking for an upgrade, please let us know if you are looking for an assessment if not already marked.
Membership
A current ETA membership is required for participation at the tournament (unless you are affiliated to another NTA). Please ensure you have bought/renewed your ETA membership before you take part. You can do this at https://englandtouch.org.uk/develop/membership/
Expenses may not be paid for referees with expired / non-existent memberships until they are renewed.

Expenses
Expenses will be paid as soon as possible after the event.
They are graded based on Google Maps estimated travel time from your home postcode to the venue at 9am on Saturday.
If you have not provided (A) Bank details and (B) Your postcode on Spond, you will not receive expenses. If you are not clear how to do this, please email [email protected]. We will try and chase the refs who we don't have details for, but please ensure your information is in there if you want prompt payment.
Attire & Kit
England Touch referee kit is not compulsory as it stands, however, hopefully a number of you will have recently purchased the new kit. If you have not, please feel free to wear the old kit or please wear any yellow or white shirt that you are happy to run in.
Another ordering window for the new kit will be open in the near future. We may have shirts to purchase on the day.
Shorts/skort/leggings are all fine but please go with black/dark blue options.
Whistles may be available to purchase for £15 on the day. This will be deducted from your event expenses.

The team sheet must be completed with player shirt numbers.

Team Captains are required to attend Event Control for a briefing at this time.

Presentation Ceremony
16:15 – 16:30
Presentations will take place next to field 1 where the following trophies will be awarded:
- Cup - 1st Place
- Plate - 5th Place
- Bowl - 9th Place
- Shield - 13th Place
- Salver – 17th Place
- Most Valuable Players (Female & Male) (as voted for by opposition teams)
- Most Valuable Referee
The ETA would be very grateful if as many teams as possible stayed for the presentations as this adds to the atmosphere and allows teams to celebrate together.
Nominating MVPs:
After each game, team captains will be asked to nominate a female and male player from the opposition. These will be tallied up through the course of the event with the most nominated players receiving an award. This is part of the community we create in Touch Rugby and we think it is very important that this is celebrated

Venue & Pitch Map
Pitches are marked by the blue boxes, with the changing facilities in the Pavilion marked by the pink box, parking marked by the purple box.
Parking
Parking at the venue is free in the car park marked above.
Weather
Please attend the event with the appropriate items of kit that you will need to stay warm and dry throughout the day. All players are permitted to wear any clothing item underneath their playing shirt, that keeps them warm, provided there are no rigid elements to it and it does not cover the shirt number.
Changing Facilities
A marquee will be available for referee shelter on the day and referees are invited to use the changing rooms
Event Control
Event Control will be located next to Pitch 1. The event briefing will happen here.
Medical Support
Medical support will be located next to event control.
As part of our commitment to quality and making the day a competitive but safe event, we aim to secure expert physio, sports therapy and first aid cover for the duration of the event and the season.
Please note that there will be a £5.00 charge for taping (free if you supply your own).
In the case of needing medical assistance during a game, please notify your nearest events assistant or attend event control.

Water Refill is available on the outside of the changing room complex
Food & Drink
Full food and beverage are available in the clubhouse.
Code of Behaviour
All participants must comply with the ETA and BUCS Code of Conduct while taking part and supporting at UTC events, the full details can be found here
The ETA Code of Behaviour applies to all participants including players, coaches, referees, administrators and supporters and sanctions can be applied to individuals, teams and clubs as necessary. Participant enjoyment should not be compromised at any point and necessary actions will be taken should they be needed to ensure this. The decision will be made by the tournament control. Your cooperation on this matter is greatly appreciated.
