Rules & Regulations

The standard BUCS Squash sport specific regulations which shall not apply to the BUCS Squash Regional Tournaments. Instead, the following regulations shall apply:

SRT i The BUCS Squash Regional Tournaments shall be conducted in accordance with the following competition specific regulations, the BUCS general regulations, and the World Squash (WSF) Singles Rules. Further event specific requirements, rules, and regulations will be contained within the entry and pre-event information.

SRT ii In the event that these regulations contradict the BUCS general regulations, these competition specific regulations will supersede, unless specifically stated otherwise.

SRT iii In the event that these regulations contradict the World Squash (WSF) Singles Rules, these competition specific regulations will supersede, unless specifically stated otherwise.

SRT 1 Scoring The World Squash Federation Rules of Squash shall be used including the PAR 11 scoring system. Each match will be the best of five games.

SRT 2 Protective eyewear, meeting the standards stated in Appendix 6 of the WSF Singles Rules, must be worn by competitors under 19 years of age for all matches, including any warm-up.

SRT 3 Match balls The Dunlop Pro (double yellow dot) or an alternative WSF approved ball shall be used.

SRT 4 Officiating All competitors will be expected to assist with marking/refereeing matches. It would be expected that the loser of a match would officiate a match immediately following, but this is subject to change at the discretion of the Tournament Director.

SRT 5 Disputes at events In line with REG 7.7, should a dispute occur at an event, the Tournament Director shall form the dispute panel
