Timetable

Registration 8:30 – 9:30 - Main bar in the club house

Every team must come to registration with a completed paper team sheet which should match your team on BUCS Play. Anyone listed on the paper team sheet who is not in the squad on BUCS Play will not be able to compete.

Each student needs to provide their student ID.

Captains meeting 9:40 - Main bar in the club house

Each team must have one representative at the meeting.

Matches start 10:00.

The schedule for the day will be available soon. The last match is estimated to finish around 18:00-18:30.

Plate Competition

A plate tournament will be hosted for teams who do not progress through to the knockout stages of the main draw in the Men’s Championship, Women’s Championship and Men’s Trophy. All teams in these competitions who do not progress to the main draw knockout are expected to play in the plate competition.

There will not be a plate competition for the Women’s Trophy as the entry numbers mean only one team would be drawn in the plate.

Presentations

Medals will be awarded for the winners and runners-up of the Men's Championship, Women's Championship, Men's Trophy and Women's Trophy.

Presentations will be conducted on pitch as soon as the final has finished. Please be ready for your presentation as soon as possible to prevent any delays to the following fixtures.

Presentations will only take place for the main draw finals. Plate finalists will not receive medals.

Team Information

Team Sheets

All competitors must join their team on BUCS Play by Thursday 02 May 2024. Instructions on how to do this can be found here.

All reserves should join the team on BUCS Play in case of injury/illness etc. Reserves not listed will not be able to be listed on the match day team sheet. No new names can be added on the day

All team captains or coaches must bring a paper team sheet to registration with their match day playing squad listed. A download of this can be found here . Anyone listed on the paper team sheet who is not in the squad on BUCS Play will not be able to compete.

This team sheet can also be emailed in advance to Erin Simmonds

Kit Colours

Please state your kit colours on your team sheet where prompted and include a photo of your kit where possible. If not emailing your team sheet in advance of the competition, please email your kit colours with a photo to Erin Simmonds via your athletic/students union including your main kit and a change of kit/top for any kit clashes. If you do not have a change of kit, you will need to wear your training tops.

Match Balls

Match balls will be supplied by BUCS. Teams should bring their own balls for warm-up.

Team Gazebos

You are able to bring a team gazebo. These should be set up behind pitch 4 as per the venue map.

Please be respectful of others when setting up and base yourself behind the respect lines. Gazebos must be secure with weights/pegs. Any gazebos that are deemed unsafe will be asked to be taken down

Touch Judges

All teams must provide a Touch Judge as per Reg RUS 2.2 and bring their own flag

Withdrawals

Competitor withdrawals must be made by a competitors athletic/students union by emailing the event lead.

Please see REG 7.9 for our withdrawal policy.

Teams who withdraw the after the team entry deadline (16 April 2024) or who do not attend the event will be classed as a late withdrawal/no show and therefore will be charged the entry fee and fined £100. This fine is in place as withdrawing after teams have been accepted impacts the draw, involving additional administrative time and costs, and also effects the experience of the other teams due to a reduction in their number of fixtures.
