Event Guide

Timetable

  • Tuesday 5th May - Round 1 - Starting at 08:00 - 10 minute intervals - Random Order – Dunes / Himalayas 

  • Wednesday 6th May - Round 2 - Starting at 08:00 - 10 minute intervals - Reserve Score Order – Dunes / Himalayas 

  • Wednesday 6th May - Round 3 - Starting 12:30 - 10 minute intervals - Same Order as Round 2 – Shore / Dunes 

  • There will be a cut in the Male competition after 3 round to 24 - including ties 

  • Thursday 7th May - Round 4 - Starting 08:00 - 10 minute intervals - Reverse Score Order – Shore / Dunes 

 The Male competition will be off the Black tees and the Female competition will be off the White tees. 

All rounds will be played in groups of 3. 

Tee times will be emailed out through Golfbox closer to the event and will be available on the 'Tee times/results' tab. 

A cut for the Female competition will be determined based on entry numbers and communicated pre-event

Registration

Competitors must register at least 30 minutes before starting Round 1. Competitors are encouraged to register as soon as they arrive at the venue. Registration will be located in the clubhouse. 

Competitors must show their student ID on arrival. Competitors who do not register may have their tee time withdrawn. Players need to come to registration area each day to collect their scorecard. 

Competitors are encouraged to use and update golfbox for their scoring so the tournament can provide up to date live scoring. 

As per the rules of golf, competitors who do not show for their tee time will be disqualified. 

Practice Rounds

Practice Rounds are available to book directly through the club shop. These must be booked and paid for in advance with the club shop and are the responsibility of the player to finance. Participants can call and book a tee time up to 7 days in advance.  

Range Tokens & Course Guides

Course guides will be provided to each competitor free of charge. 

Competitors will be given 1 range token prior to each round free of charge.

Food / Drink

Food will be available at the bar from 7:00 on each day of the competition. Last orders for food will be 16:30. 

Order of Merit

This event forms part of the BUCS Golf Tour and Macpherson Order of Merit 2025-26. 

The winner of the season long Male and Female Order of Merit will also be announced at the conclusion of this event. 

Points for the OOM will be awarded to the top 20 men and top 20 women as detailed in the BUCS Golf Rules and Regulations. 

Caddies

The use of caddies is permitted. Competitors must inform a BUCS member of staff prior to the round that they'll be using a caddie. 

Dress Code

Competitors are expected to dress appropriately when in the clubhouse; trainers, sandals, jeans and sportswear are not permitted indoors. Competitors must therefore bring a change of clothes and footwear for use in the clubhouse. No hard spiked golf shoes or hats are permitted in the clubhouse. 

Changing Facilities

There are changing facilities and showers located within the clubhouse. BUCS cannot be held responsible for any loss of valuables or equipment during the event.  

There are no gender-neutral facilities available within the clubhouse. 

Pin Positions

Pin positions will be moved for each day of competition. A copy will be available at the BUCS Registration Desk each day.

Withdrawals

Competitors withdrawing during the competition must inform Maddi Cannell, stating their reason for withdrawal. Any withdrawals after Thursday 23 April 2026 at 23:59 will still be charged the entry fee. 

Competitors must also inform their institution they have withdrawn from the competition. Any competitor who does not show up to register for their opening round will be considered a no show and their institution will be fined £50 in addition to the entry fee for the event.
