Entry Process

GOL 9.8; At the conclusion of the qualifying events, the BUCS Order of Merit will include up to a player’s best 4 finishes. At this point the top 50 ranked men and top 15 ranked women will be invited to enter Individual Stroke Play Championships (Golf Tour Finals).

And

GOL 9.1: To be eligible to compete in the Golf Tour Finals players must compete in a number of qualifying events. The current minimum number of events is 2.

(Please note, as referenced above, should we not reach capacity of entrants meeting the criteria in GOL 9.1, other students who do not meet the criteria will be considered to participate)

And

GOL 10.5 Entry to the Golf Tour Finals is available to competitors through the Golf Tour qualifying events. Exemptions will be granted to the following at the discretion of the Sports Advisory Group (SAG):

-    Players finishing in the top 5 of the BUCS Order of Merit in the previous year
-    Players in receipt of at least 1 full international cap in the year prior to the Championship
-    Players reaching the top 10 of their NGB Order of Merit in the previous year
-    Players reaching the top 100 of the World Amateur Golf Rankings in the year prior to the Championship

To apply for the competition all eligible competitors must follow these steps:

  1. Competitor to apply to the event on BUCS Play (Instructions on how to do this can be found here)
  2. Institution administrator approves entry (Instructions on how to do this can be found here)
  3. BUCS approves/denies entry into competition and publishes confirmed entry list
