Entry Information

Entry Date and Costs

Entries open Tuesday 3 December 2019 and close on Tuesday 14 January at 11:59pm for competitors. 

Institution Administrator approval deadline is Thursday 16 January 2020 at 11:59pm. This gives 48 hours after the competitor deadline to approve entries.

Entry Costs 

Individuals: £44.50

Stage Two  

Should the competition allow more entries a stage two entries will open.

Stage Two Window: Friday 17 January 2020 – Tuesday 22 Janaury 2020.

Priority will remain with the entries received before the stage one entry closing date. Entries received in the stage two window and accepted into the competition, will be charged an additional 20% fee.

Late Entries: No late entries can be accepted.

Entry allowance

Should the event be oversubscribed BUCS will reserve the right to limit the number of competitors based on the number of universities who have entered. 

Please ensure you submit entries in all competitions in order of preference.

Women

  • Grade 4 – Floor and Vault competition against a BUCS judging criteria
  • Grade 3 – Floor and Vault competition against a BUCS judging criteria
  • Grade 2 – Gymnasts will compete on three pieces of apparatus against a BUCS judging criteria
  • Grade 1 – Competition will be based on the full FIG Code of Points and gymnasts will be required to compete on all four pieces of apparatus

Men

  • Grade 3 – Floor and Vault competition against a BUCS judging criteria
  • Grade 2 – Competition will be based on the FIG Junior Code of Points and gymnasts will be required to compete on four pieces of apparatus
  • Grade 1 – Competition will be based on the full FIG Code of Points and gymnasts will be required to compete on all six pieces of apparatus

 

Withdrawals and Changes

Competitors can make changes to their entries through BUCS Play until the entry closing date.

Changes, including withdrawals, after the entry closing date must be made in writing by an athletic union or students’ union and e-mailed to the BUCS Event Coordinator.

Withdrawals after the entry closing date will still be charged the entry fee (Reg 3.2.2).

Withdrawals after 5:00pm on Monday 24 January 2020 will be classified as a ‘no-show’.
They will be charged the entry fee and an additional £10 fine payable by the athletic union or students’ union.

Competitors who do not withdraw, and do not register, will be also classified as a ‘no-show’ and will be charged the entry fee and an additional £10 fine payable by the competitor’s athletic union or students’ union.
