To apply for the competition all eligible competitors must follow these steps:
- Competitor to apply to the event on BUCS Play (Instructions on how to do this can be found here)
- Institution administrator approves entry (Instructions on how to do this can be found here)
- BUCS approves/denies entry into competition and publishes confirmed entry list
Any data will be handled in accordance with BUCS Privacy Policy

A person wishing to compete in the 3000m, Triple Jump or Pole Vault must also meet that Entry Standard.
The following formats must be used when entering events:
60m, 60H, 200m, 400m ss.ms
800m,1500m, 3000m mm:ss.ms
High Jump, Long Jump, Pole Vault m.cm
Triple Jump, Shot mm.cm
Relays
Should an Institution wish to participate in the relay, the Institution Administrator should enter a team into the event. Please note there is a separate event shell through which Institution Admininstrators should enter their relay teams. Athletes ARE NOT required to have joined the relay squad ahead of the event. Any athlete named in an individual event or on the reserve list may be declared in the relay squad at the event.
