Canoeing

The BUCS Canoeing programme is made up of the Canoe Polo, Canoe Slalom and the Wild Water Racing Championships.

There is also the opportunity to compete in the Canoe Sprint at the World University Championships as part of the BUCS international programme. The World University Championships are for national representative teams (GB & NI) and are held every two years in various countries across the world.

The Sport Advisory Group for Canoeing provide the technical sport specific advice to ensure BUCS can run and develop the programme effectively. If you are interested in getting involved in the Sports Advisory Group please contact Catherine Massie.

The BUCS Sport Development Team works in partnership with The Home Nation Sport Councils and with key Canoeing partners and stakeholders in the HE sector. The aim is to provide students and members with development support and access to coaching, workforce and volunteering opportunities, participation programmes, NGB interventions and offers, disability sport initiatives plus funding and bursary opportunities. Information on current interventions and opportunities can be found under the 'Get Involved' tab to the left hand side of this page.
