Description
The Junior Sports Development Officer role is a full-time role with regular meetings in East Surrey and to other locations nationally. The role involves the operational planning and delivery of inclusive sports programmes for amputees and individuals with limb difference, including events, taster days, workshops, programmes and ongoing activities. This is an admin and event focused role. Day-to-day tasking include recruiting and liaising with programme participants, families and partner organisations, coordinating events and programmes logistics, maintaining accurate records via a CRM systems and monitoring and evaluation of programmes. The officer will promote activities through clear communication, digital channels, and community outreach and will contribute to developing paper and video resources and guidance for coaches and professionals on adapting sport for our community. The role also includes supporting fundraising initiatives, reporting to senior staff and collaborating with colleagues to ensure sage, engaging and accessible opportunities for all participants. The Sports Development Officer will engage with key partners and agencies about the delivery of LimbPower’s Sport England NDSO Programme. The post holder will increase participation in physical activity and sports supporting more amputees and adults with limb difference to take part in physical activity and sports activities across the country.
