The 2024 edition of the Championships will take place in Muscat, Oman from 17-18 February.

Following a dominant display at the 2022 Championships in Aveiro, Portugal, United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland are current reigning champions.

The GB Students delegation is sanctioned by BUCS as National University Sports Federation for the UK of GB & NI, one of only three countries to have competed in all editions of the FISU World University Cross Country Championships since it began in 1978.

Tom Craggs, England Athletics National Endurance Manager (Off-Track) said: “England Athletics are delighted to have worked in close partnership with BUCS and the other Home Country Athletics Federations to select such a strong team to compete for GB Students at the World University Cross Country Championships. The strength of the team and the competitive selection process demonstrates the importance of GB Students representation in the development of future world class athletes. The Championships in Muscat will provide a fantastic opportunity for the athletes and team staff to build further international team experience against some of the best young endurance athletes from across the globe. Huge congratulations to the athletes, their coaches and their academic institutions. We look forward to more excellent partnership working with BUCS for GB Students as we look ahead to the Summer World University Games in 2025.”
