Increasing COVID-19 restrictions in Switzerland and many other countries, along with the fast moving developments of the Omicron variant, mean it is not possible for the event to be delivered.
This is obviously a huge disappointment for the 33 athletes and staff due to make up the GB Students delegation who have been training hard and preparing for the Games, but we stand by FISU’s decision as athlete and staff safety remains a priority.
