We are pleased to present the findings of the BUCS Student Survey for the 2024-25 season, work funded by Sport England.

This annotated presentation gives an overview of the key findings from the BUCS Student Survey 2024-25, highlighting how students experience university sport and where their journeys can be improved. Drawing on insights from over 1,300 students across 120 institutions, it explores what inspires, develops and unites students through sport. We also look at what enhances or detracts from the BUCS experience, how different groups engage with sport, and where support is needed most. It ends by outlining the actions BUCS has taken this year and the collaborative steps recommended to strengthen the student sporting experience across the sector.

Below is a link to a webinar the BUCS Insight Team hosted on these insights in October 2025. This webinar explores how universities can use sport and physical activity data to drive student engagement and wellbeing. It highlights practical examples, trends from the sector, and strategic insights to help practitioners demonstrate and enhance the value of HE sport.
