ROLE PURPOSE
BUCS is seeking to appoint an individual who is currently studying at a BUCS Member Institution that is competing in the Premier or Tier 1 of the BUCS American Football programme to act as the Student Representative (Performance).
This role is suited to an enthusiastic and motivated student who is keen to contribute to the continued development of the higher education American Football landscape. The Student Representative will represent the views and experiences of student athletes within the Premier and Tier 1 of the BUCS American Football programme and act as an ambassador for BUCS American Football, helping to strengthen communication, engagement, delivery and advocacy across the sport.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Act as an ambassador for BUCS and the American Football programme.
· Establish relationships between BUCS and Premier/Tier 1 student-athletes within member institutions.
· Build and maintain a communication network with other students playing American Football.
· Advise the BUCS Sport Advisory Group (SAG) on all matters relating to the Premier/Tier 1 student perspective of BUCS American Football.
· Offer insight and feedback on the current BUCS American Football structure and provide member led feedback for the future of BUCS American Football.
· Help develop a strategic annual delivery plan encompassing Premier/Tier 1 student feedback as one element of the plan.
· Attend all relevant SAG meetings and provide any updates on actions from previous meetings.

SAG Chair, BUCS National Competitions Manager, BUCS American Football Programme Manager, Home Nation Governing Bodies, SAG members, BUCS member institutions, other external partners as appropriate.
