Help our BUCS badminton teams develop, compete and fulfil their potential. The University of Leicester is looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and suitably qualified Badminton Coach to support our Team Leicester Badminton Club.
This is an opportunity to work with competitive student players, helping them develop their confidence, technical ability and match performance throughout the year.
QUALIFICATION
Badminton England Level 2 or above preferred
SESSIONS
Monday, Thursday and Saturday evenings
FOCUS
BUCS team development and match preparation
What you’ll do
- Deliver engaging and progressive coaching sessions for the club’s BUCS players and teams.
- Develop players’ technique, footwork, tactical awareness and doubles play.
- Prepare players and teams effectively for BUCS league and cup fixtures.
- Create a positive training environment that keeps players motivated and supports progression.
- Build positive relationships with players and work collaboratively with the student committee.
We are looking for someone who:
- Ideally holds a Badminton England Level 2 coaching qualification or above.
- Preferably has experience coaching competitive badminton players.
- Is friendly, approachable, enthusiastic and passionate about badminton.
- Can bring out the best in players and support teams aiming for promotion.
- Enjoys being part of a university club and helping players grow in confidence and ability.
Availability
- We are primarily looking for coaching support on Monday, Thursday and Saturday evenings.
- We are happy to discuss a flexible arrangement based on the coach’s availability and the needs of the club.
