Ultimate returns for 2022-23 with the Men's regional events, held at various venues across the UK.

The Regional Rounds will be held at the following venues:

Yorkshire & East Midlands (Please note this date is 5-6 November due to venue availability) - Alan Higgs Centre

Scotland - Ravenscraig RSF

North East & North West - Northumbria University Sport Central

West Midlands & Wales - University of Cardiff Sports Training Village, Talybont

South West - Sports Training Village, University of Bath

East & London - Cranford Superdome 

South East - Fareham Leisure Centre

Thursday 13th October at 23:59 – Team Entry Deadline (Institution Administrator Deadline to submit a team on BUCS Play)

Tuesday 1st November at 23:59 - Team Join Deadline for Yorkshire & East Midlands Region.

Tuesday 8th November at 23:59 - Team Join Deadline for all other regions. 

(Student Deadline to join a team on BUCS Play and be approved by a team captain/institution administrator)

Entry Process

This competition will NOT operate a staged entry process. As such, please ensure all entries are submitted through BUCS Play prior to the closing date listed above.

To apply for this competition:

  1. Entries will need to be submitted via the team entries section of our online entry system, BUCS Play (Instructions on how to do this can be found here)
  2. Please speak to your Institution Administrator as they will need to submit your entry.
  3. A Team Captain must be selected as part of the team before entries close. 
  4. Competitors then need to apply for their respective team. (Instructions on how to do this can be found here)

Entry Allowance

Team entry numbers will be limited by venue capacity. Efforts will be made to accept as many teams as
possible, but in the instance that the event is oversubscribed at the closing date, the following rules will
apply, in order:

  • First teams will get priority over second teams, and second over third etc.
  • If there is insufficient room for all first teams, places will be awarded in the following order:
    • First teams finishing in the top half of the previous year’s tournament
    • First teams who didn’t enter the previous year’s tournament
    • Remaining first teams in order of their finishing position last year
  • If there are spaces remaining after all first teams have been awarded a space, second teams will be offered places in an order based on finishing position last year, then third teams and so on
    • Second teams with no finishing position from last year will have a lower priority than those who attended – but still above all third teams (and so on)
  • If the cut-off happens to fall between 2 or more teams with no finishing position from last year, a lottery will be run between those teams to determine entry.

Affiliations

Roster checks will be conducted on all teams using UKU's JustGo Membership system during the weekend of the event in question. All players must have the appropriate membership for that event by the start of play on Day 1 of the event.
