£205 per team

Staged Entry

Should the competition allow more entries, a Stage 2 Entry window will open. Priority will remain with the entries received before the Stage 1 entry closing date. Entries received in the Stage 2 window and accepted into the competition, will be charged an additional 20% fee.

BUCS Points Available

BUCS Points are not directly available at this singular event. Please see the University Touch Championships (UTC) Season Information Pack for further information.

This event is a qualifying event for the National Championships. Performance in the event will determine rankings for the National Championship events. BUCS Points will be awarded after all National Championship events have taken place.

This competition is also an opportunity for new and developing teams to take part locally in the UTC.

Entry Process

Entry Process - Team Events

To apply for this competition:

  1. Entries will need to be submitted via the team entries section of our online entry system, BUCS Play (Instructions on how to do this can be found here)
  2. Please speak to your Institution Administrator as they will need to submit your entry.
  3. Competitors then need to apply for their respective team. (Instructions on how to do this can be found here)
  4. Institution Administrators must approve a competitor’s application before their entry is confirmed. Institution Administrators are able to give team captains approval access to help with this process (Instructions on how to do this can be found here)

Entry Process - Individual Events

To apply for the Individual competition all eligible competitors must follow these steps:

  1. Competitor to apply to the event on BUCS Play (Instructions on how to do this can be found here)
  2. Institution administrator approves entry (Instructions on how to do this can be found here)
  3. BUCS approves/denies entry into competition and publishes confirmed entry list

Any data will be handled in accordance with BUCS Privacy Policy

Each institution must also appoint one of its attendees to be the institution’s “main contact” for the event. The main contact will be required to email a Team Details form to the UPC Tournament Director, Thomas Malins. This form will include which of their institution’s competitors are ascribed to which of its teams, who the team captains are, whether any competitors require reasonable adjustment, and who will serve as the main point of contact between UPC and their institution’s delegation at the event in case of any matters that are not applicable to the team captain(s).

Additional Information

  • ETA Membership

All clubs and players are required to be affiliated to England Touch to participate in any BUCS University Touch event, for insurance and welfare purposes. For instructions on how to purchase membership please refer to the UTC Season Information Pack linked above.

In the case where clubs or players are experiencing issues in purchasing ETA membership, they should contact [email protected] for further support.

  • Shirt Numbers

Teams will be required to identify their players through their shirt numbers during the day of the event. These can be completed digitally on the Team Sheets just before the event takes place.

Withdrawals

All withdrawals should be emailed from your athletic union/institution sports staff to Joe O'Loughlin

Withdrawals on or before the team entry deadline of Thursday 23rd October at 23:59pm will not be charged the entry fee.

Withdrawals after the team entry deadline of Thursday 23rd October at 23:59pm will still be charged the entry fee.
