Schedule
BUCS Snowsports: Indoor Championships 2026 Schedule
Times and running are subject to change on the day. If a competition finishes early, we will go straight into the next one, so make sure to arrive in plenty of time.
Captains Meeting
The captains meeting will take place outside the BUCS Event Office upstairs at 13:30 on Saturday and 7:45 on Sunday.
All captains must attend.
A fine of £20 will be payable for non-attendance.
Bibs
Competitors must wear their assigned bib for all individual events. ALL bibs must be returned to the BUCS Office at the event. Lost or stolen bibs will result in a £50 fine.
Discipline Specifics
Race
The ski and snowboard racing events will consist of an individual timed Slalom, all running on the Saturday.
The Board race will run first, with two runs through the same course and the best time to count.
For Ski Race, the start list will be drawn as follows: women first, followed by men, with seeded competitors drawn according to BACRs, followed by unseeded competitors grouped by institution (in random order) and drawn randomly within their group. Two courses will be set initially, with one being used for women’s first run, and the other for men’s first run. For the second run, the courses will be swapped.
Duals
Snowboard dual slalom teams will consist of 4 riders. The draw is done randomly, and they are straight knockouts with a best-of-three final.
Ski dual slalom teams will consist of 5 athletes of mixed genders. The draw is seeded using racer’s times from Saturday’s slalom to calculate an aggregate team time. Racers in duals teams not starting or finishing Saturday’s race are assigned the slowest time from Saturday. It is a straight knock out with a best-of-three final.
Team Declarations (Duals)
Captains must declare the names of all duals team members for their institution by 7pm on Saturday (Day 1). The Team Duals Declarations will be an online form available on the LinkTree and in the BUCS Snowsports WhatsApp Community.
Please note that competing racers/riders must appear on the Accepted Entries list (published on the event page) to be eligible to take part in the team duals competitions. Failure to submit these details by this deadline and/or including any ineligible racers/riders on your declaration will result in the removal of the team(s) from the Final Draw.
Protests & Reruns
If a racer believes they have been impeded during their run, they should, stop immediately, not cross the finish line, and report to the nearest official to request a re-run. Re-runs would not normally be granted to racers who have crossed the finish line.
Any protests should be made by team captains in accordance with BCR/ICR 640-646, during the 15-minute window following protocol being published after each run.
Competitors wishing to discuss the outcome of a race held during the team duals competitions must lodge their protest to a member of event staff located at the bottom of the slope before the end of the round in which their race took place. Once the next round of the draw commences, all race results from the previous round will count as final and no further protests will be accepted. See BUCS Snowsports regulations SNW 7.6.2 and SNW 7.6.3.
Please remember that all event staff and officials are to be treated with respect and should only be approached by one team member at a time when discussing race outcomes.
Freestyle
The ski and snowboard freestyle competition will take place on a Slopestyle course containing both rail and jump features. A jam session qualifier to showcase ability and trick variety will determine the finalists for each gender and discipline. The finalists will then compete in a 3 run, best run counts, final.
Please note these formats are subject to change based on time and injuries.
Withdrawals and Substitutions
Competitor withdrawals must be made by a competitor's institutional administrator emailing Tanyel Mustafa (BUCS Event Coordinator).
