Please find below a key update regarding the Dome Series Scottish Regional Qualifier. 

Dome Series Scotland will now take place as part of Finals, on Wednesday 15th March 2023. An update on this is provided on the link below.  

Key Update 

BUCS apologises for the inconvenience that has been caused by Snow Factor's closure. We have explored all options, and this has been agreed as the best way to complete the series, without incurring significant financial increases for institutions. This has been approved by the event management group.

Ski Race (Slalom) - £50.25
Snowboard Race (Slalom) - £50.25
Ski Freestyle (Slopestyle) - £50.25
Snowboard Freestyle (Slopestyle) - £50.25
Ski Team Duals - £85.75 (Team of 5)
Snowboard Team Duals - £85.75 (Team of 4)

Entries Open: Tuesday 14 February 2023

Student/Competitor Deadline: Tuesday 28 February 2023 at 23:59 (Students must apply by this deadline)

Institution Administrator Approval Deadline: Thursday 2 March 2023 at 23:59 (Institutional Administrators are given 48 hours after the student deadline to approve entries)

Below are the number of places that qualify from the regional round to the Finals on 15 March 2023

Ski – Top 20 male and female
SB – Top 15 male and female
Freestyle – 10 male, 6 female for both Ski & SB
Duals - Top 4 Ski & SB

Institutions can request an unlimited number of entries, however should the event reach capacity BUCS may need to restrict the number of entries per institution. Therefore when submitting entries on BUCS Play, entries should be ranked in order of preference of entry before being submitted e.g 1, 2, 3, 4. Should BUCS need to restrict entries this will be done equally across institutions. 

Please also ensure that Duals entries are ranked to reflect a complete team, i.e 1, 1, 1, 1 to show the competitors who make up one team, 2, 2, 2, 2 for another, and so on. 

Withdrawals must be made in writing by the institution administrator and e-mailed to Harry Spinks, the BUCS Event Coordinator.

Withdrawals before the institution administrator approval deadline (2 March 2023 at 23:59 [stage one]) will not be charged.

Withdrawals after the institution administrator approval deadline (2 March 2023 at 23:59 [stage one]) and before the event will still be charged the entry fee. 

Competitors who do not withdraw before the event and do not attend the competition will be classed as a late withdrawal/no show and therefore will be charged the entry fee. They will also be fined £50 which will be charged after the event, to the competitor’s athletic union.

Withdrawal of a competitor does not guarantee a replacement into the competition. Reserves will only be charged an entry fee if they are accepted into the competition.
