Entry Allowance

This event is aimed at those with experience competition in coastal rowing.

Entry Process

To apply for the competition all eligible competitors must follow these steps:

  1. Competitor to apply to the event on BUCS Play (Instructions on how to do this can be found here)
  2. Institution administrator approves entry (Instructions on how to do this can be found here)
  3. BUCS approves/denies entry into competition and publishes confirmed entry list

IAs are not required to enter a boat as it is an individual competition only. The student should enter themselves and the IA is required to approve their entry.

The BUCS Rowing Regulations can be found here - Please note where there are differences in regulations for the BUCS Rowing Beach Sprint Championships compared to the other BUCS Rowing events.

All competitors should be familiar with and understand available gender categories and regulations under REG 4.3. Please find further information on gender eligibility here.

British Rowing Membership

Competitors are required to have British Rowing Race Membership at the time of entry. You will be asked for your membership number when entering. If you do not already have a British Rowing Membership, you can purchase from the British Rowing website

Photography & Videography

Official photographers will be appointed by British Rowing.
