Entry Costs

£75 per competitor (including £20 Anti-Doping fee)

Entry Window

This competition WILL NOT operate a staged entry process. As such, please ensure all entries are submitted through BUCS Play prior to the deadline listed above.

Entry Allowance

Institutions can enter an unlimited number of entries. All students entered must have met the relevant qualifying total in order to be accepted.

Entry Process

Competitors MUST enter on the British Powerlifting website before entering on BUCS Play. British Powerlifting Membership and Qualifying Total will be checked when entering via British Powerlifting. Competitors MUST enter on both British Powerlifting and BUCS Play. Any competitors who fail to enter either will not be able to compete.

Entries that are ONLY made on British Powerlifting WILL NOT be accepted. As a BUCS sanctioned event, all competitors MUST be approved by their Institution Administrator on BUCS Play.

To apply for this competition all eligible competitors must follow these steps:

  1. Competitor MUST enter on British Powerlifting (here) before entering on BUCS Play.
  2. Competitor to complete competition application on BUCS Play (Instructions on how to do this can be found here) and enter their validation number from their British Powerlifting entry.
  3. Institution administrator approves entry (Instructions on how to do this can be found here).
  4. BUCS approves/denies entry into competition and publishes confirmed entry list.

Competitors must have achieved the relevant qualifying total for their class in a sanctioned event i.e., an event listed on the British Powerlifting Website.

The qualifying total must have been achieved between 29 April 2025 and 16 March 2026.

NGB Affiliation

All competitors must hold a valid British Powerlifting membership that is in date to compete. Any competitor who does not have membership will need to purchase one here. Your membership number will be required and checked upon entry on the British Powerlifting website.

Events and BUCS Points Available

Please see Appendix 1 and Reg 6 for the BCS Points available at this event.

  • Individual (Men’s and Women’s)
  • Men’s and Women’s Overall Team - For team points we would use the International Powerlifting Federation system, i.e. 12, 9 ,8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 for the first nine placings in each weight category. The Institution with the highest accumulative total will be awarded as the Overall Team winner.

Withdrawals

To withdraw, please contact your institution administrator who should contact the event lead.

The entry fee will not be charged for entries withdrawn prior to the entry deadline, Once the closing date has passed, entry fees will be charged for any withdrawals.

Photography and Videography

Anyone wishing to take photos or video at this event must complete the BUCS Media Accreditation Form prior to the event.

BUCS reserves the right to prohibit photography equipment being used at a BUCS event. BUCS reserves the right to request that the individual ceases to take photographs, deletes any images and, if considered necessary, leaves the venue.
