Registration

Each team's captain must register the team on arrival to BUCS staff in the main pavillion

All players are required to provide valid student identification at registration (i.e. student card). Anyone without the relevant identification may not be permitted to compete

08:45 Men's Trophy teams arrive and register at Pavillion with BUCS Staff
09:00 Nets sessions starts for Men's Trophy teams
10:30 Men's Trophy final starts
approx 13:15 30 minute lunch break
17:15  Men's Trophy final finishes
17:30 Men's Trophy final presentation

 

Competition Information

The match shall consist of one innings of 50 overs per side

Teams are required to provide scorers in line with Appendix 5

BUCS will provide match play balls. Teams are responsible for their own warm-up and training balls

Team Sheet

You are required to complete the team sheet on BUCS Play (as is done for all BUCS fixtures) and send a copy of this to Maddi Cannell detailing names and players of support staff by 17:00 on 20th June 2023.

Scorer

Each team must supply a scorer for their match with the menas to calculate the Duckworth Lewis Sterm method if needed (ideally software installed on a laptop). BUCS will copy scorecards on completion.

Team Photos

Team photographs will take place outside the main pavilion at 10:20 for the Men's Trophy (before the 1st innings start) for both finalists. Your team are asked to be ready for this time and dressed in their playing kit.

Any changes on the day will be communicated to your coach and or captain.

Catering

Lunch will be provided for 15 members of each team. Please complete the catering information form which has been sent to Institution Administrators to inform us of any dietary requirements.

Free Parking is available at the venue

Kit

CRI 6.2 Men's North/South league and National Trophy knockout competition matches All teams are strongly encouraged to play in coloured clothing although this is not mandatory, but all players within the team must be in the same kit. Coloured tops and white trousers, white tops and coloured trousers, or traditional whites are acceptable.

Spectators

Spectators will be permitted at this event. Bringing alcohol to this event is not permitted, and you will be denied entry/asked to leave the premises should you try to bring your own alcohol into the event.

If you are planning on bringing lots of spectators, please email Maddi Cannell as soon as possible to arrange accordingly

Presentations

Presentations will take place immediately after the conclusion of each match, as highlighted in the schedule drop-down

Rules and Regulations

CRI i The BUCS Cricket Championships shall be conducted in accordance with the following BUCS sport specific regulations, the BUCS general regulations, and the MCC Laws of Cricket (2017 Code, 3rd Edition – 2022), together with any permanent or experimental conditions approved by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) for the recreational game.
