Squadding List
Please find the full squadding list below, if you are in red writing it is because you currently do not have a Gun License holder in the squad and must ensure you bring one to accompany you. Please contact the event lead to confirm:
Registration
Registration will be in the Club House.
Registration will open from 8am on Saturday and 8am on Sunday. You must have registered at least 15 minutes before your start time. Please be aware there may be a queue at registration. It is the responsibility of the competitor to ensure they register in time.
It is recommended that you arrive at Eaton Hall an hour before your start time.
If you are late for your start time, you will be recorded as a DNS (did not show) and you will be withdrawn from the competition. You will also be charged a £20 fine unless medical evidence is provided.
You must bring your license to registration at the event. If you forget your license you will be required to compete as a non-license holder which will cause issues with squadding.
No new entries or substitutions will be accepted on the day of competition.
Competition Format
Each Novice competitor will shoot 50 birds over 7 stands in squads of 6. These squads may consist of those competing in the Novice or Championship competition.
Each Championship competitor will shoot 100 birds over 13 stands in squads of 6. These squads may consist of those competing in the Novice or Championship competition.
Once your squad has started the competition, you will work through the course in order of stands e.g. 1-2-3-4 etc through to 13. You will have to complete the course before returning to the club house.
The event will take place over two days with each squad only being required to shoot on one day. You will be able to select your top two preferences for shooting times on the BUCS Play entry form. Where possible, BUCS will allocate days and times based on these preferences, however due to safety restrictions it may not be possible to accommodate all preferences. Competitors may be allocated a shooting time on either day; therefore, competitors will need to be available for both the Saturday and Sunday of the competition.
Scorecards
Each squad will be issued with a score card on stand 1.
On each stand, you are to pass the scorecard to the referee who will complete the scorecard. If a participant disagrees with a score, this MUST be addressed before they leave the stand and the referee should make the change on the scorecard.
Competitors are not permitted to write anything on the scorecards. Your scorecard will be retained on your final stand and collected by Eaton for completing.
No competitor is permitted to take their scorecard away at the end of the competition.
