Entry Allowance

Places Available

Maximum of 64 teams per programme (Men’s and Women’s).

Prioritisation of Places

Institutions can request unlimited number of non-guaranteed team entries into the competition. However, as the competition can only cater for 64 teams in the Men’s and Women’s programme, entries may need to be capped. In this instance, we would follow the below process:

  1. Prioritisation of ‘first’ teams over second/third teams. If still oversubscribed,
  2. A random ballot of remaining teams after step 1.

Any team(s) who are unsuccessful in their entry through the above process will be placed on a ‘reserve list’ in rank order (as determined by random ballot). If a withdrawal is received for the event, the team at the top of the reserve list will be offered the vacant spot, if they decline it will be offered to the next ranked team and so on.

Any team who accepts their place within the competition is confirming they are willing and able to compete, and therefore if a team accepts their place and them subsequently ‘no-shows’ or withdraws they will be charged their entry fee and any associated fine.

Entry Process

To apply for this competition:

  1. Entries will need to be submitted via the team entries section of our online entry system, BUCS Play (Instructions on how to do this can be found here)
  2. Please speak to your Institution Administrator as they will need to enter the correct number of teams for you.
  3. Competitors then need to apply for the respective event. (Instructions on how to do this can be found here)
  4. Institution Administrators must assign competitors to the correct team during the approval process. (Instructions on how to do this can be found here).
