Ravelin Sports Centre, University of Portsmouth

An award winning venue with sustainability at the heart of its design, the Ravelin Sports Centre is one of the UK’s most innovative infrastructures, recently winning the ‘Public Sector Project: Design Stage Award’ at the 2020 BREEAM Awards and also receiving an ‘Outstanding’ rating from BREEAM UK, the world’s leading sustainability assessment for buildings.

Travel and directions

Train

The closest station is Portsmouth and Southsea. There are daily direct trains from London Waterloo and London Victoria (2 hours), and regular services from Southampton, Bournemouth, Chichester and Brighton.

Car

Take the M275 into Portsmouth (signed 'Portsmouth West') whether approaching from the east (A3(M)/A27) or the west (M27 Junction 12). Ignore the junctions signed to Southsea and Hilsea.

Parking

There is limited free parking available in the venue car park, which can be accessed by the entrance on Museum road. Spaces will be available on a first come first served basis and you will be required to show your event booking confoirmation to the parking attendant for access.

Once the car park is full, delegates will have to use either pay and display parking, or the local NCP in the city centre.

Alternatively you may be able to use the University car park, however you will need a visitor’s permit to do so; to apply for one, email [email protected]
