COACH DROP OFF AND WEATHER UPDATE

COACH:

Coach drop off will be available on London Road (outside the old Meadowbank Athletics Track), approximately 200m walk from the course. There will be no coach access to Holyrood Park itself as the road will remain closed for the whole day.

Coach parking is available on Regents Road (Calton Hill), there may be a charge for parking here as it is public bus parking. There is free coach parking at the University of Edinburgh Sports Centre Peffermill, this is approximately a 10min drive from the course.

We would advise any competitors staying nearby to utilise Edinburgh’s tram/bus/train network to get to the event; as it is a central city location and in an attempt to reduce your impact on the environment.

WEATHER:

The current weather predictions are for very strong winds on Saturday 1 February. WE WILL NOT ALLOW ANY TENTS OR GAZEBOS TO BE ERECTED ON THE MORNING OF THE 1 FEBRUARY DUE TO THE VERY HIGH WINDS. If we allow tents or gazebos to be put up later in the day, you will be instructed by BUCS staff as to where to safely place these.

Please make sure you take a look at the Tent and Gazebo Guidelines below to ensure the safety of your kit if we allow this.

On 1 February 2020, students are putting their endurance to the test surrounded by the scenic Scottish countryside.

BUCS Cross Country Championships is brought to you with the support of partners Kukri and Camp America.
