We’re bringing the heat on wheels! π₯
The GB Students Wheelchair Basketball 3x3 team is set and ready to roll into action at the FISU World University Games 2025 in Rhine-Ruhr, Germany. π¬π§π
Fast, physical, and fiercely competitive, 3x3 wheelchair basketball is one of the most thrilling formats of the Games — and this squad of student-athletes is more than ready to rise to the challenge.
Ahead of the games team manager Lucas Warburton said “The World University Games are a great opportunity for young athletes to experience an international multi-sport event, to be in a professional environment, and to compete against the same aged athletes from all over the world.”
“It's a situation not many athletes find themselves in, so the team need to be ready to go out there and leave it all on the court."
π₯ Meet the Team

What’s 3x3 All About?
3x3 is a faster-paced, half-court version of basketball where every second counts. With quick ball movement, sharp shooting, and non-stop action, it’s one of the most exciting spectacles at the Games — and perfect for the high-energy style of Team GB Students.
