BUCS is delighted to continue its collaboration with Paralympics GB, as part of the Paralympics Potential Programme.

This long-term collaboration will provide increased opportunities and access to sporting pathways for students with an impairment who are studying within higher education.

Following successful Discover Days for student athletes with a visual impairment, ParalympicsGB have announced more dates, this time for student athletes with physical impairments. Find out more here.

During 2024, Discover Days will be hosted for athletes with a physical impairment. Sports on offer will include Archery, Athletics, Badminton, Boccia, Canoe, Cycling, Powerlifting, Rowing, Shooting, Sitting Volleyball, Swimming, Table Tennis, Taekwondo, Triathlon, Wheelchair Basketball, Wheelchair Fencing, Wheelchair Rugby, Wheelchair Tennis, Alpine Skiing, Biathlon, Cross-country Skiing, Ice Hockey, Snowboard and Wheelchair Curling - all sports that physically impaired people can compete in at the Paralympic Games.

To add to this, the FISU Winter World University Games (Torino 2025) and FISU Summer World University Games (Rhine-Ruhr 2025) will be the first Winter and Summer editions of the multi-sport Games to include Para-sport.
