The University of Portsmouth is a dynamic and ambitious institution with a track record of success. We are looking for a qualified (UKSCA or working towards this) and experienced Strength and Conditioning Coach to join our growing Performance Sport team The role will be integral to the expansion of our services in line with a significant investment in our sports facilities The role will be key in enhancing the University’s reputation for sport. Ravelin Sports Centre is an outstanding new public sports centre opening later this year in Portsmouth. The £57M sports centre’s facilities include a 25m 8 lane swimming pool, 175 station fitness suite, climbing wall, ski simulator, café and community orchard set in historic parkland.

The post holder will deliver S&C coaching to our performance athletes and will support the wider team in delivering the highest standards of service, using both their knowledge and experience. You will have specific responsibility for growing and developing the Strength and conditioning offer at the University of Portsmouth. We are looking for an individual with a proven record in creating programmes that are designed to improve both technical and physical performance. The role requires someone who is highly motivated and organised as well as personable. It is important that the role attracts someone with a passion for learning and self development.
